According to information from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, as of 11:00 a.m. on August 15, the campaign program to support the Cuban people "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba's affection" has reached more than 125 billion VND - nearly double the minimum target of 65 billion VND of the entire campaign.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, said that the campaign to support the Cuban people "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba affection" is within the framework of "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year 2025", commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1960-2025).
The program will support the Cuban people with food, necessities and sustainable humanitarian activities.
This is not only a humanitarian campaign but also a strong message to international friends: "Vietnam is always by Cuba's side, as Cuba is always by Vietnam's side".
The program has received enthusiastic response from the people with the donation through account number 2022 at the Military Joint Stock Commercial Bank (MBbank).
The representative of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society emphasized that this is a vivid testament to the special solidarity and friendship, the loyal and steadfast solidarity of the Vietnamese people towards the brotherly people of Cuba.

Previously, after only 30 hours of launching (as of August 14, 2025), the program had surpassed the 65 billion VND donation mark. Not only donating by bank transfer, in recent days, many people have come directly to the Vietnam Red Cross Society to donate money to Cuba.
On social networks, many people, celebrities, artists, and singers also shared many screenshots of transfers to the account of the Vietnam Red Cross Society supporting Cuba. At the same time, spread information and called for more supporters.
