On June 28, the workshop took place to strengthen connections and exploit the potential for cooperation development between Lam Dong province and the Republic of Cuba in the field of Bi medicine - biotechnology.
This activity aims to concretize and implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
This is also a forum to directly connect leading management agencies, experts, scientists, and medical science and technology organizations in Cuba and Vietnam.

The workshop also proposed and discussed the contents and mechanisms for cooperation between the two sides with key topics including technology transfer, expert training and application product development.
These contents are built on the basis of inventions, inventions, and technology solutions with commercialized potential of Cuban scientists in the treatment of cancer, stroke, diabetes, community health care, and application in high-tech agriculture.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, said: "With great advantages in climate, human resources and development space after the merger, Lam Dong is one of the provinces with the largest area in the country".
"With 124 communes, wards, and special zones, a population of over 3.3 million people and a nearly 200km long coastline, Lam Dong creates a breakthrough advantage in developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation" - Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee added.

According to Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary, medical - biological technology has become a perfect bridge between engineering and medicine.
This technology not only contributes to improving the quality of people's health care but also promotes the comprehensive development of the health system in the future, from disease prevention lifestyle, early diagnosis, personalization in treatment to intelligent rehabilitation.
Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that today's workshop is an important forum connecting managers, scientists, experts and leading entrepreneurs in the field of Medical Science and Technology of Cuba and Vietnam.
The event is associated with development orientation, practical needs and exploitation of potential of Lam Dong province in healthcare and biotechnology.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee emphasized that we highly appreciate Lam Dong's efforts in establishing the goal of becoming a national and regional medical center, a direction that is both suitable for the global context and sustainable and humane.

The Central Committee for Policy and Strategy will accompany the province in designing institutions, shaping policies, creating the most favorable environment for today's breakthrough ideas to soon become reality.
