On the morning of August 11, at Dong Hoi Station (Quang Tri Province), the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri Province coordinated with the railway industry to welcome the high-quality train JQB1 on the first journey from Hanoi. This is a new transportation product, aiming to improve service and diversify passenger experience.
The JQB1 train left Hanoi station at 8:05 p.m. on August 10, arriving at Dong Hoi station at 7:00 a.m. on August 11. On the other afternoon, train JQB2 departs from Dong Hoi station at 5:20 p.m. and arrives at Hanoi station at 4:15 a.m. the following day.
The fleet includes 13 cars: 6 sleeper cars, 5 seating cars, 1 food and beverage car and 1 power car, all manufactured in Vietnam with advanced technology, meeting high safety and comfort standards.
The interior is designed modernly with 360-degree rotary seats, sleepers integrated with TVs, air conditioners adjusted by area, wifi, vacuum cleaning system, ABS brakes, temperature indicator clock.
On the JQB1 flight this morning, there were 180 passengers, mostly tourists from Hanoi and the northern provinces. Many tourists said that they choose the train because of its convenience, safety and the opportunity to see the beautiful coastal and mountainous routes, including a section in the top 6 most impressive railway lines in the world.
At the welcoming ceremony, representatives of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism and the Quang Tri Tourism Promotion Center presented flowers and souvenirs, and sent wishes for a safe and experiential journey to passengers.
The operation of JQB1/JQB2 is expected to open up new opportunities to connect the capital with Quang Tri, creating favorable conditions for tourists to explore local heritages and landscapes, contributing to the development of sustainable tourism, linking railway transport with typical tourism products of the Central region.
