Previously, at 1:30 p.m. on June 5, Market Management Team No. 4 (under the Phu Yen Market Management Department) coordinated with the Economic Police Department of Phu Yen Provincial Police to conduct a surprise inspection of the N.T.X seafood business establishment, lobster purchasing activities in Song Cau town, owned by Ms. N.T.X.

The authorities discovered that Ms. X was directly injecting a needle with vegetable jelly to catch 45kg of dead lobsters, with the total estimated value of the shipment being about 22 million VND.
Ms. X confessed to buying dead lobsters, then pumping the caught vegetable into the shrimp trunk to increase the weight, to sell to the market for profit. This facility has not registered a business household according to regulations.

Market Management Team No. 4 temporarily seized all exhibits and transferred the file to Song Cau Town People's Committee to issue a decision to administratively fine Ms. X VND 11.5 million, and forced the destruction of 45kg of violating lobsters under the supervision of the inspection team.
According to the authorities, the act of pumping impurities into seafood is not only a commercial scam, deceiving consumers but also poses a potential risk to seriously affect the health of consumers.
