On June 5, Lao Dong news source reported that after receiving feedback about 7 diners with symptoms of vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea after eating snail buffet at Pho dem Vuon Branch 3 (Phu Yen Night Company Limited) on Hung Vuong Street (Ward 7, Tuy Hoa City), the Department of Health of Phu Yen province established a food safety inspection team at this facility.

Through the inspection, the authorities discovered many violations such as: The facility could not present invoices and documents proving the origin of food ingredients; did not comply with the regulations on 3-step food inspection and food sample storage.

Currently being treated at Phu Yen General Hospital, Ho Thi Xuan Tinh (17 years old, residing in Phu Lam ward, Tuy Hoa city) shared: "On the evening of June 3, my sister and I went to eat a buffet at Pho Doi Vuon restaurant. By late at night, he began to have severe abdominal pain and had to be hospitalized the next morning. Her sister also showed signs of abdominal pain but was treated with medicine at home. My health is now better and the doctor said I will be discharged from the hospital soon."

As Lao Dong reported, after watching Tiktoker's video review with account T.D.P.Y, on the evening of June 2, many diners in Dong Hoa town (Phu Yen) came to eat snail buffet at P.D.V restaurant, for 140,000 VND/person, including drinking water.

After the meal, 7 people had symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and were taken to a medical facility for treatment.

Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) issued a document requesting the Phu Yen Provincial Department of Health to urgently investigate and trace the origin of food related to the suspected food poisoning case that occurred at this restaurant.
