Urban traffic in Binh Duong also develops strongly. Many 6-8 lane roads in Thu Dau Mot such as: Le Loi street (6 lanes), Pham Ngoc Thach street (8 lanes). Notably, in Binh Duong, the widest road is Hung Vuong street with 12 lanes located in Phu My ward and Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city.
This is a more than 3km long route built during the development of Binh Duong Industrial-Service-Urban Complex (also known as Binh Duong New City built by Becamex Corporation). The route has been in use for more than 10 years.
The road is built with 12 lanes wide, including 8 car lanes in the middle, 4 mixed lanes on both sides. The road has 2 median strips between the car lane and the mixed lane, the wide median strip is used to plant trees.
The starting point of Hung Vuong route intersects Pham Ngoc Thach street with 8 lanes and Vo Van Kiet street (6 lanes). The end point of the route is the roundabout in the center of Binh Duong new city.
This is considered the busiest road in Binh Duong province today. The road passes through Binh Duong Provincial Administrative Center and Binh Duong Provincial Exhibition Center. Many large real estate projects of foreign investors are being built on both sides of the road.
Notably, many large commercial areas have formed on both sides of Hung Vuong street such as: WTC EXPO international exhibition center, Becamex commercial service office building, AEON Mall new city supermarket.
Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee said that Hung Vuong Street is one of two roads that have been piloted to install traffic surveillance cameras for more than half a year. Since the camera system was installed to monitor and handle violations, traffic safety on this route has been increasingly ensured.
