Immediately after the terrible landslide occurred, the locality urgently mobilized functional forces from the police, commune military, army, militia, youth and a large number of people to urgently overcome the consequences, soon helping households stabilize their lives.



On July 15, in Khe Que village, Xuan Ai commune - where the landslide occurred, killing Ms. V.T.T (born in 1998) and her child V.K.T (born in 2020), the people here were still worried.
At the scene of the landslide, piles of rocks and soil along with trees, tables and chairs... were lying around.


Behind the house, the 50m high slope of trees is still showing signs of landslides. Along the slope about 200m long, many locations with frog jaw openings, many points on the top of the hill have clear cracks and breaks, warning that this is an area at high risk of landslides.
Colonel Dang Quoc Dong, Commander of the Lao Cai Provincial Military Command, said that immediately after receiving information about the landslide, the unit urgently mobilized more than 50 officers and soldiers to approach the scene and coordinated with local forces to take the injured to the emergency room. At the same time, searching for buried victims.


Currently, the unit continues to mobilize more than 50 officers and soldiers divided into many working groups, supporting families to arrange the funeral for the victims and stabilize their lives. Households living around the landslide area were also urgently evacuated to a safe place.
On the other hand, the Army continues to coordinate with forces to survey locations at risk of landslides and insecurity to mobilize and support people to evacuate.
Lao Cai province has directed localities to find resettlement land and support people with materials and essential necessities for immediate and long-term living.



Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Le The Vinh - Deputy Head of the CSCD Battalion No. 3, Northwest CSCD Regiment - Ministry of CSCD shared that the unit had mobilized nearly 50 officers and soldiers to the scene to support severely damaged houses and clean up materials, helping households soon stabilize their lives.
Mr. Luu Trung Kien - Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Ai Commune, Lao Cai Province said that in the coming time, the commune will continue to have solutions to encourage families and increase warnings of unsafe risks, especially landslides in the area for people to grasp.

For areas that need to be thoroughly treated with a large volume, the commune will make recommendations to the province and departments and branches to support the final handling.
