At that time, rocks and soil on the positive slope behind the hill of the house of Ms. Vu Thi T (born in 1998, in Khe Que village, Xuan Ai commune) suddenly collapsed and collapsed.
The landslide not only buried Ms. T's house but also severely affected the wooden house of Ms. Bui Thi V A's family (born in 2003).

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (in Khe Que village, Xuan Ai commune) was shocked and said: when he heard the loud sound of a landslide and house collapse, everyone panicked and ran out of the house, only in time to look back and see Ms. T and Ms. V A's house buried in a pile of rocks and soil.
A moment after seeing that there were no more landslides, the villagers shouted to each other to find the buried person and reported to the authorities.

First, people discovered that Ms. V A and her two young children were pushed outside the landslide site by rocks and soil, and quickly took them off the scene with multiple injuries.
The parents were immediately taken to the commune health center for examination and first aid. Then transferred to the Van Yen Regional Medical Center for treatment. Currently, the health of all 3 is stable.

Regarding Ms. Vu Thi T's house, the authorities and people soon determined that someone was inside.
However, due to the large amount of rock and soil, the house is at risk of collapsing at any time, the authorities have blocked off the scene and mobilized machinery to search for missing people.
At around 00:200, Ms. T and her nephew Vu Khanh T (born 2024), were taken away from the scene.
Medical forces urgently performed emergency treatment but did not survive. The bodies of the two victims were handed over to their families for funeral arrangements.

Mr. Vu Van Loi (born in 1977, in Khe Que village, Xuan Ai commune) father of Ms. Vu Thi T sadly shared that he could not have expected the accident to hit his family like that, my child and grandchild were too young, the family was in great grief.
It is known that Ms. Vu Thi T has a husband and 3 young children. At the time of the landslide, Mr. Hiep had not returned from work, his two children, My and Nhi, were sleeping not far from his maternal grandfather's house.
Mr. Luu Trung Kien - Secretary of the Xuan Ai Commune Party Committee added that in recent days, there has been a lot of rain in the area, so the local government has propagated and advised people to move out of landslide areas and areas at risk of landslides.
In this area, in September 2024 (storm No. 3), a landslide occurred that killed 1 person, the local government has advised the people. The family has also proactively moved to a relative's house.
However, the weather has been sunny for the past 2 days, and the families have returned home when the incident happened unexpectedly. Currently, units are surveying the terrain to clarify the cause of the landslide.
