On August 15, Gia Lai province solemnly held a meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.
The event is an opportunity to honor the contributions and feats of the Gia Lai Provincial Police force; affirming the important role of the police force in the cause of protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety.
At the ceremony, Major General Le Quang Nhan - Director of Gia Lai Provincial Police - said that this is an opportunity to review the heroic tradition, express gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of generations of officers and soldiers, and at the same time arouse the sense of responsibility and determination to continue the glorious history of the provincial police force.
"Faced with the new opportunity, the entire Provincial Police force will continue to unite and promote the 50-year tradition of the People's Public Security, proactively advise and synchronously deploy solutions to maintain security and order; build a clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern force; closely attach to the people, worthy of being the "steel shield", "the sword" to protect the Party, the State and the people", Major General Le Quang Nhan affirmed.
Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that throughout 80 years of building, fighting and growing, the People's Public Security force in general, and Gia Lai Provincial Police in particular, have always maintained their mettle and been absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, the State and the people; ready to sacrifice for independence, freedom, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity and for the security of the Fatherland.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung said that the Gia Lai Provincial Police force has achieved many outstanding feats, breaking up hundreds of major cases such as: DNB8 project to destroy the largest online football betting ring ever with an amount of over 3,000 billion VND; VA1219B project to break up an international betting ring worth over 1,600 billion VND; NTP1 project to destroy a ring to illegally bring Chinese people into the country; Project 1119HC to arrest a group of buyers and traders, transporting prohibited goods;MT520 project to fight against drug crimes...
With great contributions, Gia Lai Provincial Police has been awarded many noble awards by the Party, State, and Ministry of Public Security, including 1 Ho Chi Minh Medal; hundreds of awards and medals; 21 collectives and 9 individuals were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
