In 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of the Public Security at 2 levels has thoroughly implemented the policies, leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Director of the Provincial Public Security, focusing on drastically and effectively implementing measures to fight and prevent crimes and maintain social order and safety in the province. Proactively advising and proposing to the Party Committee and the government to basically stabilize the emerging crime situation in some key areas. Police forces at all levels have investigated and solved more than 1,000 cases, reaching 90.41%; arrested and handled more than 1,900 subjects with law violations; solved 198 very serious and especially serious cases, reaching 94.73%.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Han - Director of Kien Giang Provincial Police - acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements in 2024 of the Investigation Police Agency and the police force of the whole province. Colonel Nguyen Van Han emphasized that in the context of complicated developments in security and order, the police force has been persistent and made continuous efforts in preventing, investigating and handling cases, contributing to protecting the peace of the people and developing the socio-economy of Kien Giang province.
The units have effectively coordinated between forces, solving many large and complicated cases. However, the crime situation still has many potential risks, especially in the fields of cyber security and high-tech crimes.
The Director of Kien Giang Provincial Police also requested units and localities to continue to innovate methods, improve the effectiveness of wanted persons and crime handling, and at the same time carry out propaganda and mobilize the masses to participate in protecting security and order.
