On October 5, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Lam Dong Provincial Police) said it had extinguished the fire at the scrap yard in Dam Rong 1 commune.
At about 16:36 on the same day, in Trung Tam 2 village (Dam Rong 1 commune), the scrap yard of Mr. Le Ba Van (56 years old) suddenly caught fire.
As soon as the news was received, the Rescue Team of Area 2 dispatched 2 fire trucks and 15 officers and soldiers to the scene.
While waiting for the professional force, the commune police and local authorities mobilized fire water pumps from the nearby lake to support controlling the fire.
At around 7pm the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.
The scrap yard area is about 220m2, of which 200m2 was burned down, with a wooden frame and corrugated iron roof. The fire did not cause any human casualties, property damage is being counted.
The initial cause was determined to be that Mr. Van burned garbage, the fire spread to the area containing flammable materials.
