Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Duc City Police have invited the man who arbitrarily adjusted the traffic lights at the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap - Do Xuan Hop to come in for questioning.

On January 20, the police invited the man wearing a motorbike taxi uniform who adjusted the traffic lights at the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap - Do Xuan Hop (Thu Duc City) to come in for questioning and take his statement.

Initially, the police determined that this person saw that traffic was congested so he arbitrarily adjusted the traffic lights, without any other motive. However, the act of arbitrarily interfering with the traffic light system is a violation of the law, so the police are consolidating the case file to handle this person according to regulations.

Previously, a clip was circulated on social media recording a man dressed as a motorbike taxi driver opening a traffic light control cabinet and manipulating the control panel inside.

A representative of the Rach Chiec Traffic Police Team said that the cause of the incident was due to the traffic light control cabinet losing its lock.
