HCMC - On January 10, the traffic light at the intersection of National Highway 22 - Giap Hai (Cu Chi district) was faulty, causing people to not dare to drive through the intersection.

On January 10, social networks were abuzz with a clip of a traffic light at the intersection of National Highway 22 - Giap Hai, in front of the gate of Cu Chi Bus Station (Cu Chi district) being faulty, losing signal, causing people to walk their motorbikes across the intersection, while cars lined up waiting, drivers anxiously getting out of their cars to listen to the situation because they were afraid of the new red light violation fine.

The incident caused traffic congestion in the area for many hours.

Through verification, the incident occurred at the intersection of National Highway 22 - Giap Hai (in front of Cu Chi Bus Station gate, Cu Chi district) at 9:15 a.m. the same day.

The Northwest Traffic Police Station said that the traffic light pole in front of Cu Chi bus station was broken, causing the above incident.

Currently, the unit has coordinated with relevant parties to fix the problem and restore traffic flow.
