On September 22, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the Yen Truong Commune Police force had just coordinated with functional forces, people and farm owners to move 45,000 chickens out of the flooded area.
Previously, due to prolonged heavy rain, the water rose rapidly, causing Trinh Yen chicken farm, in Yen Trung 1 village, Yen Truong commune, to be deeply flooded. Inside the farm, there are about 45,000 chickens, most of which are preparing to be sold, with a total estimated volume of about 100 tons.
Faced with the risk of chickens being damaged, Yen Truong Commune Police coordinated with the Commune Military Command, departments, branches, unions and people to urgently support the farm owner to move the chickens and property to a safe place.
Due to deep flooding, slow receding, and slippery soil, transportation was difficult. The forces then worked with the farm owner to find a plan to bring a large number of chickens out of the flooded area.
A hundred-meter-long iron conveyor belt was installed, forming a transportation route from the farm area to the external gathering point.
Officers and soldiers of Yen Truong Commune Police and other forces directly wade through water, bringing each chicken cage onto a conveyor belt. People bring chickens up, transport them, and receive them at the gathering point, forming a continuous chain for many hours.
Mobilizing forces and establishing conveyor belts has helped the process of moving the chicken flock to take place faster in the context of rising floodwaters, thereby supporting farm owners to limit property damage.
