On April 13, the Fire and Rescue Police Department - Quang Tri Provincial Police said that they had promptly participated in extinguishing a forest fire in Laos.
Previously, at 22:37 on April 11, the Fire and Rescue Police Department - Quang Tri Provincial Police received a report from the Commander of Densavan International Border Gate Police Station about a long-term planted forest fire in Densavan village, Se Pon district, Savannakhet province (Laos).
The fire is at risk of spreading, threatening the surrounding residential area.
Determining that this is a special task, related to support activities on the territory of a friendly country, the unit urgently reported and requested instructions from the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police and Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee.
After agreeing on the policy, the Fire and Rescue Police Department dispatched 2 fire trucks and 12 officers and soldiers to quickly approach the scene, coordinating with functional forces of Laos to deploy firefighting.
After more than 3 hours of continuous efforts, by 2:00 AM on April 12, the fire was completely extinguished, protecting about 50ha of long-term planted forest and neighboring residential areas.
