On the morning of February 8, Quang Tri Provincial Police said that they are continuing to clarify the assault case at Cha Lo International Border Gate in the area.
According to initial information, at about 6:30 pm on February 7, in the area of Cha Lo International Border Gate, belonging to Cha Lo village, Dan Hoa commune, Quang Tri province, due to personal conflict, Mr. Le The Anh (born 1980), residing in Nam Hong Linh ward, Ha Tinh province, had a scuffle with Mr. Dang Xuan Chinh (born 1985), residing in the same ward.
During the conflict, Mr. Dang Xuan Chinh used scissors to stab Mr. Le The Anh, causing injuries. When attacked, Mr. Le The Anh used a machete he carried in the car to fight back against Mr. Dang Xuan Chinh. As a result, both people were injured and taken to medical facilities for emergency treatment.
Immediately after grasping the information, Dan Hoa Commune Police coordinated with Cha Lo International Border Gate Border Guard Station to verify the incident and seize related exhibits to serve the investigation.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on the evening of February 7, a clip about 47 seconds long appeared on Facebook social network in Quang Tri, recording the scene of 2 men scuffling in an area with many container trucks parked around.
According to the content of the clip, a man wearing a dark shirt and black pants, holding an object resembling a machete in his hand, impacted another man who was not wearing a shirt, only wearing long pants. After being beaten, this person staggered and then fell to the ground.
Not stopping there, the man holding the weapon continued to kick the victim's face many more times, making the beaten person almost unable to get up. The whole incident took place in a short time, in an area with many container vehicles passing by.
