Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee has just announced an emergency situation regarding natural disasters caused by landslides in residential groups 10, 11, An Tuong ward.
According to the reflection of households, since 2022, in the Vi-ba hill area (An Tuong ward), there have been landslides, cracks and subsidence on the hillside.
In particular, after recent heavy rains, the cracks continue to expand with great intensity and scale. Many blocks of rock and soil slid down the foot of the hill next to the houses of households.

Mr. Vu Duy Minh (An Tuong ward) said that the cracks appeared larger and longer, many places had slid 3 - 5 m deep, making people very worried. People hope that the government will soon have a solution to overcome this problem to feel secure in living and working in production.
According to Mr. Dao Van Hao (An Tuong ward), in 2021, his family suffered hundreds of millions of VND in damage. At that time, rocks and soil from Vi-ba hill behind the house collapsed, burying the family's brick factory.
With the situation of cracks and subsidence on the hillside increasingly widening, the risk of landslides is high, making the family worried. The blocks of rock and soil can collapse at any time. In particular, every time it rains heavily, the family feels worried.
Currently, on the Vi-ba hillside, there are cracks running along the hillside and slides with a large amount of rock and soil.

According to the report of the Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command, the cracks run through the hill body and slide with a very large volume of rock and soil (area of about 7,000 m2 and length of 700 m).
Currently, the rock and soil block has slid and sunk from 3 to 5m, endangering the lives, houses and property of 40 households and telecommunications works.
In response to unusual developments in geology and natural disasters, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has requested the People's Committee of An Tuong ward to closely monitor the developments of rain, floods and landslides. Implement the placement of signs and zoning of dangerous areas; proactively implement measures to evacuate people and property to safe places.
At the same time, prepare appropriate forces, means, and equipment to support and respond when required, promptly report when an emergency situation occurs.
