On September 19, information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 3096/QD-UBND announcing a natural disaster emergency for the landslide site of the Mat Thanh spillway project in Quy Luong commune.
Accordingly, the project has landslides on 2/3 of the road surface, with a length of about 50m, a width of 2.8m and a depth of 3m; the foot of the project is made of soil and is in a state of flooding, at risk of further landslides, and being swept away if there are storms.
Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province assigned the People's Committee of Quy Luong commune to put up warning signs, set up barriers in dangerous areas, not allowing people and livestock to enter; at the same time, organize regulation, ensure traffic for people, widely propagate so that people can proactively prevent it.
In addition, the People's Committee of Quy Luong commune must prepare a dossier to handle, propose solutions, and a total investment. In case of exceeding the budget balance capacity, the commune will report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration of support.
The Department of Finance is assigned to guide localities in using capital sources, and at the same time advise the Provincial People's Committee on funding support plans if necessary.
