On December 2, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong - Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to administratively sanction Hao Hung Hue Company Limited (Lot CDP 06, La Son Industrial Park, Loc Son Commune, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province).
According to the penalty decision of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, Hao Hung Hue Company Limited, in the process of managing and operating Wharf No. 3 - Chan May port, discharged wastewater containing normal environmental parameters into the environment exceeding the national technical standards on industrial wastewater.
Specifically, Coliform exceeded 48 times; color exceeded 2.46 times; TSS exceeded 1.94 times, in case of discharging wastewater from 400m3/day (24 hours) to less than 600 m3/day (24 hours).
Pursuant to Point k, Clause 6 and Clause 7, Article 18 of Decree No. 45/2022/ND-CP dated July 7, 2022 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions in the field of environmental protection, the Provincial People's Committee decided to fine Hao Hung Hue One Member Co., Ltd. VND 532 million.
Of which, the fine is 380 million VND for Coliform parameter; the fine increases by 40% to 152 million VND for color and TSS parameters. In addition, Hao Hung Hue Company Limited is forced to pay the cost of requesting appraisal, testing, measuring and analyzing environmental samples with the amount of 5,336,000 VND.
The People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province requests that Hao Hung Hue Company Limited strictly comply with the penalty decision. If the company fails to voluntarily comply within the time limit, it will be forced to comply according to the provisions of law. Hao Hung Hue Company Limited has the right to appeal or initiate an administrative lawsuit against the administrative penalty decision of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province according to the provisions of law.
