According to Lao Dong reporters' records, on the afternoon of April 29, at gateway routes, bus stations, tourist areas and key roads in Da Nang, traffic police (CSGT) increased troops, organized patrols, traffic diversion and vehicle control before the peak holiday of April 30 - May 1.

This year's holiday lasts 4 days (from April 30 - May 3, 2026), it is forecast that the number of people and vehicles flocking to Da Nang will increase sharply. National Highway 1, Vo Chi Cong, DT603, DT603B, DT607, DT611, Hoi An area, Hoi An Dong, Hoi An Tay and coastal routes are identified as points at risk of traffic congestion and collisions if not controlled early.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police, subordinate teams and stations have deployed closed patrol plans, focusing on peak hours and at night before and during the holidays. Acts such as violating alcohol concentration, speeding, going in the wrong lane, using drugs while driving, and carrying more people than prescribed will be strictly handled.
Recorded at Da Nang Central Bus Station, at 3:00 PM on April 29, Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 coordinated with the Bus Station Management Board to check alcohol concentration for passenger car drivers before departure. This is an important control step to prevent the risk of accidents from the root, especially when inter-provincial travel demand increases during the holidays. Through inspection, functional forces have not detected any violations.

In the area of Thang Binh Traffic Police Station, in 3 days from April 25 to 27, functional forces discovered and handled 177 violations, with a total estimated fine of more than 440 million VND. Among them, there were 35 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 91 cases of speeding, 3 cases of passenger cars carrying more people than prescribed and 11 cases of not having driver's licenses.
Lieutenant Colonel Truong Hoang Anh - Head of Thang Binh Traffic Police Station - said that the unit determines ensuring traffic order and safety during the holidays is a key task. The Traffic Police force will maintain 100% of their personnel on duty, focusing on handling violations that are direct causes of accidents with the spirit of "no forbidden zones, no exceptions".
Not only controlling cars, passenger cars, and motorbikes, Da Nang traffic police also strengthened inspections of tourist electric vehicles in the Hoi An ancient town area, coastal routes and the city center. This is a type of vehicle serving tourism, contributing to creating a friendly image, but also posing a risk of unsafety if carrying too many people, operating in the wrong route or not ensuring technical conditions.

Many people believe that it is necessary for functional forces to deploy before the holidays. "On holidays, when there are many cars, just one driver drinking alcohol or driving recklessly can cause disaster for many people. Traffic police check regularly, people are more reassured when going out" - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dang, a resident of Quang Phu ward, Da Nang city shared.
According to functional forces, along with handling violations, propaganda and reminders to people, transport businesses and drivers are also being promoted. The goal is not only to restore traffic order during the holidays, but also to form a habit of participating in traffic safely and civilized.
The Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police recommends that people not drive vehicles after using alcohol and beer; comply with speed, lanes, traffic signals; proactively yield when traveling in crowded traffic areas. A safe vacation does not only come from the patrol force on the road, but also starts from the awareness of each driver.
