On August 5, news from the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that in the first 3 days of the peak period (January 13, 2008), the Traffic Police force in the whole province detected and recorded 492 violations, temporarily detained 47 vehicles.
During this time, the Traffic Police force organized 39 patrols with 191 officers and soldiers; stopped controlling 2,576 vehicles
Notably, the Traffic Police force has handled 37 cases of alcohol concentration violations (including 2 cars and 35 motorbikes), including: Below 0.25mg/l of breath: 22 cases; from 0.250.4mg/l of breath: 9 cases; over 0.4mg/l of breath: 5 cases; 1 case of non-compliance with inspection.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province Police, during this peak period, the force will continue to maintain the motto "no forbidden areas, no exceptions", resolutely handling violations to reduce traffic accidents and keep people safe.
The Traffic Police force recommends that traffic participants need to raise awareness, especially absolutely do not drive after consuming alcohol to protect themselves and the community.
