On July 23, the Traffic Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police said that the unit had just discovered and handled a case of a motorbike driver speeding and testing positive for drugs in the area.
Previously, at about 4:35 pm on July 22, at Km34+900 National Highway 70, passing through Yen Binh commune, the Task Force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 in coordination with Yen Binh Commune Police conducted patrols and inspections, discovered Mr. C.A. S (born 2002, residing in Tram Tau commune, Lao Cai province) driving a motorbike with license plate 21KA-223. xx at a speed of 67 km/h, exceeding 17 km/h compared to the maximum speed allowed of 50 km/h.

During the inspection, functional forces conducted rapid drug testing for the vehicle driver. The results showed that the young man tested positive for drugs in the MOP group.
The working group made a record of administrative violation against C.A. S for two acts: driving at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed and driving a vehicle with drugs in the body; and temporarily seized the driver's license and vehicle for handling according to regulations.
