The accident happened at about 6 am on March 1st on provincial road 352 in Viet Khe commune. Ms. V.T. H (born in 2000, residing in Hoang Que ward, Quang Ninh province) was driving a motorbike in the direction of Lai Xuan bridge to Le Ich Moc ward when it collided with Mr. N.V.M (born in 1927, residing in Lai Xuan 11 village, Viet Khe commune) walking across the road in the right-left direction in the direction of motorbike. As a result, Mr. M was injured, taken to the emergency room and died at the hospital. Currently, the case is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
Also according to the City Traffic Safety Board, in February, there were 74 traffic accidents in the area, an increase of 17 cases compared to the same period. Of which, 34 people died (equal to the same period) and 52 people were injured, an increase of 21 people compared to the same period.
