On March 15, voters in Quang Ngai province voted to elect National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, and also elected deputies of the 14th Provincial People's Council, term 2026–2031.
In 96 communes, wards, and special zones in the province, there are 3,279 candidates for commune-level People's Council deputies; voters will elect 1,982 deputies.
In order to create the most favorable conditions for voters to exercise their voting rights, in many polling stations in Quang Ngai, members of the election team brought ballot boxes to their homes and hospital beds for voters to exercise their civil rights.
At a polling station in Ngan Giang village, Son Tinh commune, there is a rather special voter, Mr. Thai Nhan (born 1927), residing in Ngan Giang village, Son Tinh commune. Although old, he is still very lucid, personally holding a pen to select candidates who are virtuous, talented, truly worthy of serving the people and contributing to the development of the country.
According to voter Thai Nhan, he grew up in a family with patriotic traditions, starting to participate in the self-defense force for national salvation from the age of 18 (August 1945). After the successful uprising to seize power, he joined the Le Trung Dinh Liberation Army; joined the National Guard Corps, became the squad leader of Regiment 108; fought on the Phu Yen front...
The Geneva Accords were signed, he regrouped to the North, then was demobilized in the "Welcoming War Invalids to Villages" movement. After the liberation day, he returned to his hometown to continue working, working as Chairman of Ha Giang Agricultural Cooperative, Nghia Binh province until his retirement under the regime (in 1989).
“Throughout my revolutionary life, I have never hesitated in any job assigned by the organization, always maintained complete faith in the Party, maintained the qualities of a communist party member. I am very excited to participate in the election and hope that the people I choose will be elected, strive harder to serve the country and serve the people,” Ms. Nhan confided.
Also in the voting area No. 27 located at the Provincial General Hospital, Nghia Lo ward, Quang Ngai province, mobile ballot boxes were brought to the hospital bed by members of the election team.

At the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics - Burns, voter Ho Tran The Duy, in group 3, Nghia Lo ward, expressed his emotion when personally voting right on the hospital bed.
I have torn ligaments, hospitalized for treatment for 4 days now. I have exercised my citizenship in a rather special circumstance. The hospital's coordination with the ward to organize a voting area right at the hospital and mobile ballot boxes to the patient's bed is very meaningful, showing concern and responsibility for the rights of voters," Mr. Duy shared.
By 10 am this morning, March 15, all voters in ballot box No. 27 located at the Provincial General Hospital had completed the voting.
