On the morning of March 15, in Con Co special zone (Quang Tri province), nearly 400 voters participated in voting for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and provincial People's Council deputies for the 2026 - 2031 term in the solemn and joyful atmosphere of the all-people festival.
Con Co is a frontline island area in the East Sea, where in addition to residents, there are also many forces regularly performing duties at sea such as the Navy, Coast Guard, Fisheries Surveillance and Standing Militia Flotilla. Therefore, the preparation for the election day was deployed early and thoughtfully by the special zone to ensure that all voters have conditions to exercise their rights and obligations as citizens.

In Con Co special zone, a polling station is located at the Youth Cultural House. Before the election day, this area had been fully prepared with facilities such as tables and chairs, ballot boxes, polling rooms, panel systems, slogans and other necessary conditions to serve voters.
From early morning on March 15, many voters were present at the polling station to directly participate in the election. However, due to the weather at sea with big waves and strong winds, many passersby who are forces performing duties at sea could not get ashore to vote.

To ensure the right to vote of all citizens, the Con Co special zone has proactively developed plans in advance. On the same morning, election team No. 1 arranged ships and election service forces to bring auxiliary ballot boxes to ships on duty at sea.
In stormy conditions, ballot boxes are brought onto each ship for voters who are officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard, Fisheries Surveillance, Standing Militia Flotilla, and Navy to exercise their voting rights.

The organization of voting at sea took place in accordance with procedures, ensuring democracy, publicity and safety.
Mr. Tran Xuan Anh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Co Special Zone said that thanks to careful preparation and flexible plans, by 11:00 AM on March 15, 100% of voters in the special zone had completed the voting for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies of the province.
According to the leader of Con Co special zone, bringing ballot boxes across waves to ships on duty not only ensures the voting rights of citizens but also shows the determination of the locality in successfully organizing a great festival of the whole people on the frontline island of the Fatherland.
