On October 15, Mr. Duong Van Phuoc, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Nam Province; Deputy Vuong Quoc Thang, Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, had a meeting with more than 100 voters who are officials, union members, and workers before the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.
At the forum, there were nearly 20 opinions and recommendations from voters sent to National Assembly Deputies, revolving around urgent issues in the lives, jobs, policies, and working environment of current workers.
In particular, many comments and proposals related to the Trade Union Law (amended) suggested increasing the number of full-time trade union officials, removing difficulties in the policy of recruiting trade union officials; legalizing monitoring activities, more specifically about the criticism activities of trade union organizations...
Regarding the revised Law on Employment, voters suggested a mechanism to protect employees' rights when businesses operate inefficiently, leading to dissolution, bankruptcy, or business owners intentionally fleeing; increasing unemployment benefits...
The opinions, suggestions and comments of voters were received and specifically answered by representatives of departments and branches of Quang Nam province and Mr. Duong Van Phuoc.
On this occasion, the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Nam province presented 20 gifts from Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and the Provincial Labor Federation presented 107 gifts (VND 1 million/gift) to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who had work-related accidents or occupational diseases.
