9 industrial clusters in Tuyen Quang province put into operation have contributed to solving on-the-spot jobs for many rural workers.

Information from the Department of Industry and Trade of Tuyen Quang province, up to now, the whole province has established 17 industrial clusters (CCN) with a total area of 810 ha. Investors are actively completing procedures and deploying infrastructure to attract secondary projects.

In which, 9 ICs have attracted 45 investment projects, with a total registered capital of over 8,377 billion VND, 34 projects have been put into operation, creating jobs for nearly 10,200 workers. The average occupancy rate reached 43%.

For the remaining ICs, Tuyen Quang province is requesting investors and related units to accelerate the implementation progress. By April 20, 5/7 ICs had completed detailed planning, 4/7 ICs had been approved for environmental impact assessment reports, and 5/7 ICs had carried out compensation and site clearance.

However, there are still obstacles in the implementation process that have affected the progress of CCN implementation, such as some clusters have not been allocated or leased land. Site clearance is still slow; lack of connection points for wastewater treatment systems.

In addition, some procedures related to planning, environment, and technical infrastructure are still prolonged, affecting the overall progress of projects.

On April 22, at the Conference to remove difficulties and obstacles, and accelerate the progress of technical infrastructure investment in industrial clusters in the area, Mr. Hoang Anh Cuong - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Tuyen Quang province requested investors to focus on accelerating progress, soon completing infrastructure, and attracting secondary projects.

Industrial cluster infrastructure investment enterprises are required to establish standing working groups in the province, proactively arrange and mobilize capital sources in a timely manner, and regularly closely monitor project implementation progress.

Relevant units are requested to be drastic in site clearance work, strengthen coordination with localities, functional agencies and regularly inform the Department of Industry and Trade to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles arising.

According to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Plan for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050, the whole province plans 48 ICs with a total area of 2,450 ha; and removes 11 inefficient ICs from the plan.
