After this year's Binh Ngo Tet holiday, Ms. Ly Hoang Hoa (Son Duong commune, Tuyen Quang province) will work at an export leather shoe manufacturing company in Phuc Ung industrial cluster, only more than 3km from home instead of returning to the industrial park in Hanoi.
Since that year, I have submitted job applications at the shoe factory, the job is not too hard, the income is more than 8 million VND/month. The most important thing is being close to home, having conditions to take care of children. The shoe manufacturing company also announced that I would go to work immediately after the Tet holiday," Ms. Hoa shared.
Not only Ms. Hoa, many other workers in rural areas of the mountainous province of Tuyen Quang have also decided to stay in their hometowns, working right in industrial clusters and zones in the province with stable incomes instead of working hundreds of kilometers away in other provinces and cities.

That labor shift is thanks to promoting development, investing in building new ICs, distributed in many areas in the province, places with convenient labor sources and connecting transport infrastructure.
In fact, in recent years, Tuyen Quang mountainous province has promoted investment in Long Binh An IPs with garment and metallurgy activities, Son Nam IP, Phuc Ung IC with garment and leather shoe fields, opening up opportunities and solving local jobs for many rural workers.
Most recently, a few days before the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the Phuc Ung 2 Industrial Cluster Project in Son Duong commune with a scale of 48ha, with a total investment of over 530 billion VND, was officially started.
Phuc Ung 2 IC is planned in a modern, multi-sectoral direction, when completed and put into operation, the project is expected to create jobs for about 3,000 local workers.

In the period 2020 - 2025, Tuyen Quang province has established 16 industrial clusters with a total area of 783.6 ha, total registered investment capital of 8,888 billion VND, and the occupancy rate of industrial land reaches about 57%. Currently, dozens of projects have been completed and put into production.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Tuyen Quang province, in the period 2021 - 2025, the average industrial production value increased by 14.9%/year, and the average export value of goods increased by 10.5%/year. Industrial production activities are organized centrally and methodically, instead of spreading out.
Informing PV, Mr. Hoang Anh Cuong - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Tuyen Quang province said that the industry and trade sector has proactively advised and coordinated to promptly issue mechanisms, policies, and industrial development plans according to the plan and vision set out.
The development plan for industrial zones and clusters, energy infrastructure, and power supply networks is being integrated synchronously, creating a legal corridor and long-term development space for industry that is being promoted," Mr. Cuong said.
