Dozens of missed messages
Since this information appeared a few days ago, Mr. Hoang Minh Quan, an employee of a foreign-invested insurance company, has continuously received messages from friends: "So high a salary, why don't you go out to eat without having to share money anymore?". Recently, in a meeting with a customer, he was also asked by his own customer: "Does the customer's insurance pay the majority to pay the staff's salary?". The question forced him to spend more than half of the meeting explaining it clearly to customers.
Ms. To Thi Hong, an employee of another insurance company, said that after sharing this information, her friend texted her asking: "With a hundred million VND, why don't you find an international school for me to study?". In just one day, Ms. Hong received dozens of similar questions. She said that this was the way they calculated by comparison, not reality. Currently, she is still carrying many fixed expenses every month.

According to human resource experts, the calculation of "average income" by taking the total bonus cost and other welfare divides the total number of official employees according to the number in the financial statements, is the calculation that does not reflect the reality. The reason is because the total cost of the above cost is not only used to pay for the official number of employees, but also paid to the unofficial staff (seasonal staff, contract staff, etc.). At the same time, this cost is not only a basic salary but also includes many other benefits such as year -end bonus, bonuses on holidays, health insurance, social insurance, internal tourism, training costs, subsidies ... This leads to the high average income pushed up.
Learning for fun
Mr. Le Quang Phuc, a data analyst at a fintech company, said: "This average calculation may be statistically correct but can easily cause misunderstanding if you do not clearly understand how it is created. That is the reason why in data analysis, people often have to come with many indicators such as standard deviation, distribution charts, or other influencing factors to have a more accurate view of the whole.
This calculation also causes many insurance companies to face serious and funny situations just because the "beautiful" numbers fall in the sky. A team leader revealed that an employee had directly asked him that "your salary is different from information on the internet", even suspecting that the company was "paying" employees.

"athtics is a popular tool, but if not used properly, it can easily become a double-edged sword," Mr. Phuc shared. A number that sounds very attractive, but if not explained in detail, it can easily cause public misunderstanding, leading to unnecessary consequences. For industries such as finance and insurance, using an average figure to assess personal income is not only unrealistic, but also easily creates unnecessary discussions, he further explained.
It can be seen that these figures can be curious but they do not reflect the whole story, especially in an industry with a diverse cost structure such as insurance. Therefore, calculating the average salary as above should only be "listened to for fun". In terms of personnel, in addition to salary, workers need to pay attention to other factors such as promotion opportunities, development ability, working environment, etc.
