In the central area of Hanoi, many groups of veterans from all over the provinces and cities have arrived early to wait for the A80 parade - parade. The veterans brought with them the pride and memories of a time of war, hoping to directly witness the important event of the country.
Mr. Vu Van Quyen, born in 1957, from Phu Xuyen commune (Hanoi), was overwhelmed when he and his teammates waited to watch the A80 parade. He fought in the Southwestern border battlefield and in the Cambodian liberation campaign.
"There are many veterans, from the South to the North, today gathered here. When we arrived, we met happily, because everyone was in the same place, Mr. Quyen shared with Lao Dong.

To get a favorable location, the Veterans delegation arrived very early on August 29.
"We arrived at 6:30 am. To have a good seat, you have to go early, if late it will be difficult. Leaders at all levels arranged for us beautiful seats. This is a location that many people are looking forward to, said a veteran.
Hanoi has arranged thousands of priority seats reserved for veterans. The parade viewing locations on the Hung Vuong - Tran Phu route, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Kim Ma, Hang Chao... were already full since early morning, but the first of all was the area reserved for veterans.

Not only being present early, many veterans are also preparing to stay overnight in the central city area. They brought food and drinks to eat on the spot.
"Just stay on this sidewalk, food is ready. There are boiled vegetables, rice, and enough water to drink, said Mr. Quyen.
Hanoi sometimes experiences showers after a hot morning, but the difficult weather does not reduce the spirit of veterans sitting among the people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary.
On the sidewalk, the image of silver hairs sitting next to simple food bags creates an emotional scene in the eyes of young people. For them, the special day of returning to the capital, sitting with their teammates, witnessing the military equipment and parade formation passing by was an indescribable joy.
Having gone through difficult years of fighting, now sitting in the front row of honor, many veterans recall memories of their past.
I participated in the fight at the southwestern border before, then went to Cambodia. Now coming here to witness the country's changes and the army's growth, I am very proud," said Mr. Quyen.
The A80 parade and parade will take place at 6:30 am on August 30 at Ba Dinh Square, on a scale similar to the official anniversary of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. This is an activity of great political and social significance, demonstrating the strength of the armed forces, and expressing pride and gratitude to previous generations.
