On July 25, Da Tay Island (Truong Sa special zone) received, health checked and supported 33 fishermen of Quang Ngai fishing boats who encountered an accident after a ship sank in the Truong Sa archipelago area.
Previously, on the morning of July 24, fishing vessel QNg 95267-TS operating in the area about 33 nautical miles southeast of Truong Sa island suddenly encountered a big storm and sank. At the time of the incident, there were 36 crew members on board.
In the evening of the same day, Da Tay Island received a notice from the Command of Region 4 about fishing vessel QNg 95267-TS, fishing, captained by Mr. Tran Van Dan (58 years old, residing in Quang Ngai) being in distress and losing contact.

Immediately after receiving the information, Da Tay Island coordinated with forces to strengthen observation and organize search announcements.
Late that night, officers and soldiers on the island coordinated with Van Hoa 793 ship to maneuver to the area where the incident occurred to search for the missing crew members.
At the same time, fishing vessel QNg 95555-TS captained by Mr. Nguyen Huu Loc (53 years old, residing in Quang Ngai), approached the scene, rescued 33 out of 36 crew members in distress and brought them to the Da Tay island area.
After receiving them, the forces on Da Tay island visited, encouraged and grasped the health situation of the fishermen.
Currently, the health and spirit of the 33 fishermen have stabilized, and they are resting to recover.
The island commander also grasped the support needs of fishermen to report and ask for instructions from the Brigade commander.
