Successfully rescued 8 fishermen in distress at sea in Co To, Quang Ninh

    Quang Ninh - In the early morning of May 21, a fishing boat collided with a reef in Co To sea, 8 fishermen were safely rescued by the border guard force.

    At about 4 am on May 21, Co To Border Guard Station received a report that fishing boat TH-92545-TS was rammed into a reef in the Northeast area of Hon 7 Sao, Co To special zone sea area, Quang Ninh province.

    The collision caused the bow of the ship to burst, and 8 crew members on board fell into a dangerous situation.

    Immediately after receiving the information, Co To Border Guard Station urgently deployed a working group of 5 officers and soldiers and motorboats to approach the scene, organize rescue and relief.

    All 8 fishermen along with property and fishing gear were brought ashore safely by the border guard force.

    Currently, Co To Border Guard Station is coordinating with Thanh Lan Border Guard Station and functional forces to develop a plan to salvage the distressed fishing vessel.
