At the same time, strictly manage and control waste sources; prevent environmental incidents... Expand waste classification and reduction activities in the province.
According to the People's Committee of Phu Yen province, the implementation of environmental monitoring work in the whole province in 2023 is 255 locations (an increase of 4 locations compared to 2022), with a frequency of 3 times/year; the total number of monitoring points in 2024 is 258 locations with a frequency of 3 times/year, an increase of 3 locations compared to 2023.
Monitoring results show that the environmental quality in the province over the years is at a good level, the environmental quality parameters of soil, water and air are within the permissible limits and some points have improved compared to previous years.
However, there is still local pollution occurring in some places such as industrial parks, clusters, mineral exploitation areas, and livestock facilities interspersed in residential areas.
The first monitoring results in 2024 show that the surface water quality at Ba River, Ky Lo River and Ban Thach River, most of the surface water is organically polluted; the quality of underground water sources is polluted; the quality of coastal seawater environment has 2/10 parameters polluted (NH4, Coliform)...
