On the morning of September 12, Tan Lap Commune Police said that they had coordinated with people to rescue Mr. N.T. N (born 2004, residing in Ham Thuan Nam commune) who was swept away by floodwaters while passing through a flooded road in Lap Son village.
Previously, at about 3:45 pm on September 11, people discovered a person swept away by floodwaters in Lap Son village, so they reported it to Tan Lap Commune Police.
At this time, heavy rain caused some areas and roads in the commune to be locally flooded. The commune police have placed warning signs and stretched ropes at deeply flooded and fast-flowing locations.
Upon receiving the news, Tan Lap Commune Police mobilized officers and soldiers and forces to bring life jackets and rescue ropes to the scene.
Mr. N. was identified as being swept away by the water about 50m from the bank when passing through the flooded road section. In the middle of the fast-flowing water, the young man had to cling to a tree branch to wait for the rescue force.
The commune police coordinated with people to deploy rescue ropes, rafts, approach the location where Mr. N. was trapped and bring the victim ashore safely.
