According to the plan, the opening ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival will take place on December 5. Currently, the authorities of Da Lat city and Lam Dong province have coordinated and urgently completed the urban beautification.
Reality shows that on many streets, squares and public places in Da Lat city, thousands of flower pots with eye-catching colors have been decorated.
The flowers used have also become familiar and typical of this land, such as hydrangeas, cherry blossoms, mimosas, azaleas...
Every time the Da Lat Flower Festival comes around, the locality attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to visit and admire the beauty of the "City of Thousands of Flowers".
Mr. Vo Thinh, Director of Gia Thinh Hung Company Limited - the unit that designed and constructed the flower space by Xuan Huong Lake, said that the construction of the flower space by Xuan Huong Lake was carried out by the unit since November 20.
According to Mr. Thinh, the unit uses many types of flowers such as dancing orchids, primroses, chrysanthemums, phalaenopsis orchids, sedum, begonias, etc. to create many different miniature landscapes.
Faced with the colorful space in public areas and streets, residents and tourists expressed their excitement and joy.
Ms. Le Ngoc Anh, a tourist from Dak Nong province, said that her family took advantage of the opportunity to visit Da Lat before the flower festival to avoid the crowds and waiting at tourist attractions.
"I see that the functional sectors here have carefully prepared for the festival. The streets, squares... are all decorated, the scene is colorful, worthy of the brand "City of a Thousand Flowers" in the hearts of tourists from all over the world".
The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival will be held for a period of 1 month with a total estimated budget of about 60 billion VND from socialized sources, and is expected to attract 2 million visitors.
Da Lat Flower Festival aims to honor the values of flowers and floriculture in Da Lat city in particular and Lam Dong in general.
