Da Nang - The City Department of Industry and Trade requests to ensure gasoline and oil supply in the face of market fluctuations.

Faced with the risk of fluctuations in world gasoline supply and prices due to the tense situation in the Middle East, the Da Nang City Department of Industry and Trade has issued a document requesting gasoline and oil businesses in the area to proactively ensure supply, and not to let the situation of interruption in production, business and people's living needs occur.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the consumption output of gasoline and oil in the city currently fluctuates around 3,200-3,500 m3/day. In the context that the international market may experience abnormal developments, proactive supply is considered an important solution to stabilize the domestic market in general and in Da Nang in particular.

The Department of Industry and Trade requests key traders and petroleum distribution traders to proactively ensure output, not to interrupt supply to the retail store system of enterprises as well as stores belonging to the distribution system. At the same time, units need to have reasonable plans to share supply and profits in the distribution system, in order to ensure continuous supply of petroleum to the market.

In addition, businesses need to regularly control the operation of gasoline and oil retail stores belonging to the distribution system to ensure that sales are not interrupted, meeting the production, business and consumption needs of people and businesses in the area.

The Department of Industry and Trade also requires gasoline and oil retail stores to clearly state sales hours in the sales area, placed in a convenient location for people to easily observe. In case of stopping sales or changing sales hours, business units must have a written notice to the Department of Industry and Trade, stating the reason and only after being approved in writing by this agency. At the same time, businesses are not allowed to have acts of speculation, hoarding goods or reducing sales hours due to fluctuations in gasoline and oil prices.

In addition, gasoline and oil business units must list the selling prices of all types of gasoline and oil and sell according to the listed prices, and at the same time be responsible for quality, quantity and selling price according to regulations.

The Department of Industry and Trade assigns the Da Nang City Market Management Sub-Department and the Trade Management Department to regularly monitor and supervise the compliance with legal regulations in gasoline and oil business activities of businesses and retail stores in the area. In case violations are detected, they will be strictly handled according to current regulations.

The Department of Industry and Trade requests units to seriously implement the above contents. In case of arising difficulties and obstacles, businesses need to promptly report to the Department for synthesis and report to the Da Nang City People's Committee and the Ministry of Industry and Trade for consideration and direction in handling.
