The Da Nang Border Guard Command said it has counted 1,155 vessels and 8,276 workers anchored at the ports. To date, Da Nang City still has 4 boats with 40 workers operating at sea. These vessels mainly operate in the Gulf of Tonkin.
The number of boats anchored at Tho Quang fishing port and dock (Son Tra district) as of October 25 was 953 (130 small boats, 823 large boats). The number of boats in Da Nang was 420, and in other provinces was 533.
According to the Da Nang City Border Guard Command, currently, vessels operating at sea have grasped the developments and movement direction of storm No. 6. This unit is still maintaining information and contact with ships, notifying them to come ashore for safe shelter.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City requests the City Border Guard Command to continue to urgently notify all owners of vehicles and boats still operating at sea of the location, direction of movement, developments and dangerous areas of the storm to proactively avoid, escape or not enter dangerous areas. Urgently go ashore, find safe shelter, pay attention to vehicles operating at sea. Actively monitor the storm developments to prohibit sea travel.
