On the morning of March 31, the Suzunami training ship of the Japanese Sea Defense Forces with 230 crew members on board, under the command of Colonel Mizuno Tatsuhito, Commander of the 12th Training Squadron, docked at Tien Sa port, Da Nang city.

The visit to Vietnam from March 31 to January 3 aims to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation and contribute to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
This is a clear demonstration of the increasingly extensive cooperation between the two Ministries of National Defense of Vietnam and Japan, as well as between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Japan Sea Self-Defense Force. The main goal of the visit is to enhance mutual understanding, build trust and promote cooperation in many fields.

During their stay in Da Nang, the Japanese crew will pay a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Da Nang City People's Committee and the Vietnam Navy Region 3 Command. In addition, there are also exchange activities and joint training with officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3, cultural activities, and visits to famous historical and cultural relics in Da Nang.
