Accordingly, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh signed Decision No. 421/QD-UBND, allocating assets and converting functions for house and land facility No. 1 Pasteur, Hai Chau ward.
According to the Decision, the city assigns house and land No. 1 Pasteur to Da Nang Museum for management and use as a cultural institution. This facility has a land area of 2,013m2, construction area of 1,085.4m2, including 3 building blocks.
This is a French architectural work, over 100 years old. The architecture of the building is considered "especially rare", a villa that still retains the only Art-Deco style left in Da Nang. The work is designed according to "open architecture", combining majesty and closeness to nature, minimalist decorative details but still retaining the French architectural spirit.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, project 1 Pasteur fully meets the criteria of a city-level cultural institution.
This project not only carries special historical and cultural values but is also qualified to organize exhibition, education, and art exchange activities.
Wide housing area and campus, architectural space suitable for building multi-functional cultural institutions. At the same time, infrastructure, structure and landscape are suitable for community service functions and professional cultural and artistic activities.
On that basis, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism orients the exploitation and promotion of the value of the 01 Pasteur project in the direction of preserving and maintaining the building as a unique architectural and artistic work of Da Nang city, combining exploitation into a cultural and tourist destination.
Along with that, exhibition, education and art exchange activities "Da Nang Art Space - Da Nang Arts Space" will be organized here, with a total expected usable area of 2,065m2.
In addition, the 2-story building with an area of 215m2 is arranged with space to serve professional work, including a working room, artifact preservation warehouse, appraisal room, and works research room.
