On March 25, the Fire and Rescue Police Department, Da Nang City Police organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 periodic fire and rescue professional training program. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nam, Head of the Fire and Rescue Police Department of the City Police, attended and delivered directing speeches.

At the ceremony, authorized by the Director of the City Police, the unit's leaders announced the decision to open training classes and approved the professional training program for fire fighting and rescue in the first 6 months of 2026.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nam - Head of the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Da Nang City Police emphasized that in the past time, there have been many fires, explosions, accidents, and serious incidents across the country, causing great damage to people and property.
Through practical work, the force has promptly and effectively deployed professional, technical, and tactical measures, contributing to building a beautiful image of the People's Police force in general and Da Nang City Police in particular. However, there are still some limitations such as communication and command and operation work that are sometimes not flexible; the physical strength of officers and soldiers does not meet the requirements for prolonged situations; the handling of complex types such as houses combined with production and business, high-rise buildings, large factories... is still clumsy.
Faced with practical requirements, professional training is identified as a key task to improve the ability to be on duty, combat readiness and effectively handle fire, explosion, rescue and relief situations. Through training, officers and soldiers are trained in physical strength, improved skills, proficient in operating vehicles and equipment, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

According to the plan, the training program is divided into 2 phases, phase 1 is deployed immediately after the opening of the program and phase 2 is expected to start from April 24. Teams participating in the training will be equipped with content focused on the system of legal documents, directing and guiding fire fighting and rescue work, combining theory and practice.
In which, focusing on equipping knowledge of personal techniques, tactics, formations, fire fighting and rescue plans; command work; management, preservation, maintenance of vehicles and equipment, strengthening comprehensive practical training to meet task requirements in the new situation.
