In the afternoon of January 5, a large fire occurred at a store of construction materials and sanitary equipment No. 360 29 Thang 3 street (Hoa Xuan ward, Da Nang city), causing a large factory area to be engulfed in fire.

According to records at the scene, the store has a two-story structure, a facade about 20m wide, iron column frames, corrugated iron walls. Inside, it contains many building materials, sanitary equipment, furniture and electronic equipment, posing a risk of strong fire spread.
People living near the area said that the fire was discovered at about 2:30 pm on the same day. At the time of the incident, no one was trapped inside. The facility owner and people promptly moved some assets to the lawn opposite the store.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force of Da Nang City Police mobilized dozens of fire trucks and many officers and soldiers to quickly approach the scene and deploy fire fighting plans.
Because the 2nd floor of the store was covered with corrugated iron, spraying water from the outside was difficult, functional forces mobilized crane trucks to break the facade of the factory to create access. After breaking the wall, the fire continued to break out fiercely, and the soldiers had to spray water continuously to control the fire.
By about 3:45 pm on the same day, the fire was still complicated. Dozens of fire trucks and functional forces are continuing to make efforts to extinguish the fire.
The cause and damage of the fire are being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
