On September 17, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued Plan No. 84/KH-UBND on organizing the Da Nang City logo Composition Contest in 2025, aiming to create a logo of Da Nang City to position and enhance the recognition of the city's brand; be officially used in information activities, propaganda, serve political and social tasks and promote the city to domestic and international friends.
Accordingly, the contestants are domestic and foreign organizations and individuals who have the ability and desire to participate in the contest. Authors can participate individually or in groups. Each author/group of authors participated in no more than 3 entries.
The work must be consistent with the purpose and requirements of the Competition; ensure original creativity, and have never been published, used, distributed or participated in any domestic or foreign competitions. During the contest, the work must not be used for commercial purposes or sent to participate in other contests. At the same time, the work must ensure copyright according to current legal regulations.
The work needs to clearly reflect the identity and strategic vision of Da Nang city. Encourage the exploitation of one or a few typical elements and symbols, representing the city, clearly reflecting the identity and core values of the locality (it is possible to exploit typical elements of natural landscape; architectural works symbolizing the modern, dynamic and integrated development of Da Nang in the new era); at the same time, express the depth of the culture and people of Quang through spiritual values such as hospitality, affection, creativity and the desire to rise strongly.
The work expresses the message of solidarity and strong solidarity between communities; reflects a strategic vision for sustainable development in the future, affirming Da Nang's position as an economic, cultural, tourism, ecological, smart city, international financial center, industrial, logistics, and innovative startup center of the Central and Central Highlands regions.
For the requirements of art and design techniques, the work must ensure harmony between aesthetic and content elements, creating a positive impression, while expressing the pride and aspiration for sustainable development of the city in the future. The design needs to have a modern, minimalist, and concise style; ensure harmony in layout and color, have outstanding highlights, be easy to remember, easy to recognize and create sympathy with the public. The components in the logo (if any, images, lettering) must be clearly separated, without causing conflict or affecting each other.
The work must be highly applicable, ensuring flexibility in all performance environments, including in person, online and printed on many materials. At the same time, the work needs to maintain sharpness, clear contrast and optimal reproduction ability in many different sizes, even when miniaturized or used in a single color.
The prizes include: a First prize worth 150 million VND, accompanied by a Certificate from the Organizing Committee of the Contest; 4 Encouragement prizes worth 10 million VND/work, accompanied by a Certificate from the Organizing Committee of the Contest.
After the work was chosen as the city's symbol, the copyright for the work belongs to the People's Committee of Da Nang City. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for disputes over copyrights and related rights. If there is a finding of copyright infringement after the award has been announced, the Organizing Committee will cancel the award classification results, revoke the award and the Certificate for that work, and be not responsible when a dispute arises.
