On February 26, the People's Procuracy of Region 2 - Da Nang said that the unit is coordinating with the Investigation Police Agency and functional forces to verify and clarify the case of discovering an unidentified male corpse in the Han River bank area.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Minh Duong (born in 1957, residing in Group 5, Ngu Hanh Son ward, Da Nang city) while fishing discovered a corpse trapped on a rocky bank on the Han River sidewalk, opposite house number 141 Chuong Duong street and reported it to functional agencies.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department presided over and coordinated with the Criminal Technical Department, Prosecutors of the People's Procuracy of Region 2 - Da Nang, along with the Police force and Ngu Hanh Son Ward People's Committee to conduct scene examination and autopsy in accordance with legal regulations.

Through initial examination, the corpse was identified as male, aged about 30–35 years old; black hair; height about 1.80m. The victim was wearing a light-colored short-sleeved t-shirt, black trousers; light-colored socks on both legs; black sports shoes on the right leg. No signs of external force impact were found on the outside of the corpse. The estimated duration of death was about 3 days before being discovered.
The victim did not have personal papers or property on him, so his identity, background and nationality have not yet been determined.
The corpse has been taken to the morgue of Da Nang Hospital for preservation, serving autopsy and verification according to regulations.
