On April 12, Da Nang City People's Committee said that it had just agreed on the policy of organizing the "Monthly Ngoc Linh Raspberry Fair" in An Hai ward, according to the proposal of the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association of Quang Nam.
Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches such as the Department of Finance, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, An Hai Ward People's Committee and Quang Nam Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association to develop a implementation plan, ensuring efficiency and bearing the city's own characteristics.
Initially, the program is expected to be implemented in 2026, then the results will be evaluated for consideration and organization in the following years. The specific plan will be completed and reported to the City People's Committee before April 30, 2026.
The City People's Committee also requested the Quang Nam Ngoc Linh Ginseng Association to proactively allocate resources and closely coordinate with relevant units to build a sustainable program, contributing to promoting the value of Ngoc Linh Ginseng and promoting local economic development.
The organization of periodic fairs is expected to create a new highlight in trade promotion activities, and at the same time bring the Ngoc Linh Ginseng product, considered a "national treasure", closer to people and tourists.
Previously, on April 4, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Quang Buu agreed to propose organizing the program "National Treasure Ngoc Linh Ginseng Journey: Experience space of Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs - Da Nang".
According to the plan, the program will be held periodically every month in the An Hai night market area, An Hai ward, expected on Saturday and Sunday evenings of the second week, from 6 pm to 11 pm.
The market scale is about 15-20 booths, including booths displaying fresh ginseng; typical medicinal herbs such as Tra My cinnamon, dang sam, kim tuyen orchid, forest honey; product processing and experience area; and space to introduce deep processed products from Ngoc Linh ginseng. In addition, a promotional area is arranged for sponsors and organizers.
