The Da Nang City Red Cross Society in coordination with the Red Cross Orphanage Center and central and local press agencies organized the program "Spring Connection - Loving Tet" in 2026, aiming to bring a warm Tet atmosphere to children in especially difficult circumstances.

The program is a practical activity in response to the "Tet of Compassion - Binh Ngo Spring" movement in 2026, contributing to connecting organizations, businesses and philanthropists to join hands in caring for the material and spiritual lives of orphans being nurtured at the Center.
At the program, 15 international volunteers and 35 domestic volunteers joined the Center's staff and employees to participate in many meaningful activities such as decorating Tet space, giving new clothes, giving lucky money at the beginning of spring, taking souvenir photos, organizing games and enjoying traditional Tet cuisine. Many units and individuals also presented gifts and funding to support the Center in caring for and nurturing children.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Lam - Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Red Cross Society, in the past time, the Center has regularly received the companionship of domestic and foreign volunteers to come to play, support learning, and train skills for young children. This is a great source of encouragement, contributing to sharing difficulties and spreading the spirit of compassion in the community.
Established in 1997, the Red Cross Orphanage Center has cared for and raised nearly 550 children, of which nearly 500 have been sought a replacement family home. Currently, the Center is raising 16 children with funding mainly based on the support of organizations and philanthropists," Mr. Lam said.
