According to Forbes data updated on February 8, 2026, billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairman of Vietjet Air - owns assets worth about 4 billion USD, ranking 1,016th in the list of the richest people in the world.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao is known as a major shareholder at Vietjet Air (VJC) and HDBank (HDB), two key investments that contribute a large part to her assets in the Vietnamese stock market.
Closing the trading session on February 6, 2026, the Vietnamese stock market recorded VJC and HDB stock prices at approximately VND 166,000/share and VND 26,700/share respectively.
With holding nearly 47 million VJC shares and about 100 million HDB shares, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao's stock assets are estimated to reach nearly 7,800 billion VND and 2,670 billion VND respectively; the total value of these two investments is about 10,470 billion VND, equivalent to about 0.42 billion USD.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao is the first self-made female billionaire in Vietnam, and also the person who brought low-cost airline Vietjet Air to the stock exchange in 2017.

Also appearing in Forbes' billionaire list is Ms. Pham Thuy Hang, Vice President of Vingroup Corporation, with assets worth about 1.6 billion USD, ranked 2nd, 390th in the world's richest people ranking (updated February 8, 2026).
According to Vingroup's corporate governance report, Ms. Pham Thuy Hang currently holds more than 114 million VIC shares, equivalent to about 3% of the group's charter capital. Calculated at the closing price of February 6, 2026 at 131,000 VND/share, her stock asset value is estimated at nearly 15,000 billion VND.
