Da Nang deploys Starlink service and coverage at 14 subscriber densities

Da Nang - deploying the installation of terminal equipment and providing Starlink satellite telecommunications services in 14 villages and school points that are shrinking in telecommunications signals.

According to Plan No. 484/KH-UBND, the city is expected to deploy from September 21 to the end of September 30, 2026 in 4 villages and 10 school points. The points are supported with free satellite telecommunications services for 6 months.

Participating units include the Department of Science and Technology, Da Nang Center for Digital Transformation and Strategic Technology, City Police, Viettel Da Nang, VNPT Da Nang, along with the People's Committees of A Vuong, La De, Phuoc Thanh, Tra Van, Tra Tan, Tra Giap communes and representatives of schools.

The implementation process includes 5 steps: surveying, locating; installing and connecting equipment; technical inspection and acceptance; equipment handover, signing service supply contracts; monitoring and post-installation support.

For 4 remote villages, the commune-level People's Committee represents the reception, management of equipment and signs contracts to provide Starlink services.

At school sites, the principal or head of the educational institution directly managing the school site will receive, manage equipment and sign contracts. Equipment is used to serve teaching and learning activities.

People's Committees of A Vuong, La De, Phuoc Thanh, Tra Van, Tra Tan and Tra Giap communes are responsible for reviewing and confirming representative information at each point. The dossier includes agency name, full name, citizen identification number and title. The information is sent to the Department of Science and Technology before installation to complete dossiers and contracts according to regulations.
