On November 1, the People's Council of Da Nang City organized the 6th People's Council program with voters. At the program, Mr. Nguyen Dang Hoang, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Da Nang City, said that the Department has advised the City People's Committee on the program "5 no's", "3 yes's". Including the program "no homeless beggars". On that basis, localities have also organized and developed this plan, especially on holidays, Tet, April 30, May 1. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Da Nang City has also printed leaflets about the program "5 no's", "3 yes's" to distribute to tourists when coming to Da Nang City and provided billboards and posters for units to propagate.
From 2024 to present, in addition to regular propaganda, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has also launched 4 campaigns to deal with the situation of wandering beggars such as on the occasion of April 30, May 1, New Year's Day, Quan The Am Festival, and National Day September 2. From now until the end of the year, the Department will launch a campaign to deal with this situation during the New Year of 2025.
During the implementation process, this unit has collected 154 cases of vagrants and beggars and brought them to social protection facilities and mental hospitals. Of these, 40 cases are local people residing in Da Nang, 85 cases are from other provinces, and 29 cases have unknown addresses. Currently, the Department is managing and nurturing 350 mentally ill people at Center 05 - 06, with nearly 430 subjects undergoing drug rehabilitation and 180 subjects in social protection cases.
