On the afternoon of July 25, the 1st Phu Quy Special Forces Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, took place with the participation and direction of Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam - Member of the Party Central Committee (PC), Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation (NAD) of Lam Dong province.
This is one of the first Congresses of the Special Zone Party Committee held after the reorganization.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, Phu Quy has promoted the strengths of two important pillars: marine economy and tourism. The average annual output of exploited aquatic products will reach more than 32,000 tons, exceeding 36,000 tons in 2024 alone.
The special zone currently has about 1,735 fishing vessels, of which nearly 600 are large-capacity vessels. The locality has also invested in building a storm shelter area of more than 1,000 600CV ships, improving the infrastructure of fishing logistics.
The special zone has also formed a fishing union and 80 solidarity groups, uniting fishermen into a strong self-management force at sea, contributing to maintaining sovereignty.
Tourism in Phu Quy is developing clearly. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the whole island welcomed more than 24,000 visitors, of which about 1,250 were international visitors. The island currently has more than 150 accommodation facilities of all kinds.
Phu Quy's orientation on digital transformation, application of technology in tourism management and marine exploitation, development of a green economy, and circular economy are new pillars in the growth model in the coming time.

With the motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the congress clearly identified the goals, orientations and development solutions for the Phu Quyet Special Zone for the 2025-2030 term; at the same time, contributed opinions to the document submitted to the Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Congress of the Party.

From a land far away in the middle of the ocean, Phu Quy special zone is gradually transforming, not only maintaining the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland but also affirming itself as a unique and sustainable center for marine economy - tourism.
The two "ressources" are the marine economy and tourism will continue to be the wings that bring Phu Quy to the next level, reaching far in the future development journey, first of all in the 2025 - 2030 term.
Phu Quy Special Zone is one of 13 special zones in the country, established on the basis of merging 3 communes of the former Phu Quy island district.
This place has an area of 18km2, a population of over 32,000 people, possesses great development potential, especially in the fields of marine economy, tourism, seafood exploitation and plays a strategic role in marine defense and security.
