In recent days, many articles by students of Thai Nguyen University of Education have been circulating on social networks reflecting on the fact that volunteer groups were prevented from entering the rescue dormitory during floods.
According to the reflection, many dormitories were deeply flooded, had no power and could not be contacted outside.

The dormitory cafeteria does not allow the volunteer group to distribute food, forcing students to climb walls to receive food from outside.
Some students shared that they were isolated for nearly two days, their phones ran out of battery, and they had no cash to buy rice.
During the flood days, some students have to eat temporary cakes and filtered water to keep the steam, said a student.
On social networks, many people expressed their anger that collecting food money in the context of students being isolated is insensitive and inhumane.
Regarding the incident, information from Thai Nguyen University of Education said that the volunteer group came to distribute 100 meals but did not contact them in advance, so the dormitory staff temporarily refused to accept them.
The school believes that the refusal comes from concerns about food safety, and at the same time affirms that the threads in the image posted by students are used to fix the raft carrying people, not to prevent relief.

Regarding the reason why first-storey students have to stay and clean up after the flood, the school explained that this is an internal mobilization activity to overcome the consequences of flooding, avoiding making mud and soil hard in the room.
A representative of Thai Nguyen University of Education added that on October 8, the school proactively ordered free meals for students in the dormitory kitchen, with a maximum capacity of about 600 meals per meal.
The volunteer groups also registered to support an additional 200 gifts of cakes, sugar and milk to supplement students.
"We ordered more cakes and brought them to the foot of the stairs for students to take them down, today we continue to provide free meals, there is absolutely no such thing as dropping students," he said.
